Meet The HonInfo ‘Ohana

    • Jo Kamae Byrne
      President

      Jo brings a wealth of experience from the private and public sectors to HonInfo.  Administrative Manager and Director for Hawaiian Duplicator Corporation (office equipment sales & service), Administrative VP for Mountain Apple Company (entertainment & music recording), and Government Affairs lobbyist for the Honolulu Board of Realtors (a professional association) illustrate the variety and scope of her background.

      Through the years, Jo has also dedicated herself to public service:

      • Secretary & Director, Better Business Bureau of Hawaii

      In her spare time, Jo enjoys writing children’s stories and stays active with all types of dancing, from hula to salsa.  Her latest community focus is supporting the Emotional Social Learning (ESL) program, “CHOOSE LOVE” in Hawaii’s public schools.

    • Abhishek Duggal
      Vice President, Administration

      Abhishek officially joined Honinfo in 2004, shortly after graduating from Brigham Young University – Hawaii with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Computer Science and Information Systems.  Before joining the firm full-time, Abhishek completed practical training on a student visa at HonInfo, and stayed on while gaining a work visa, green card and eventually, his U.S. citizenship.

      Today, Abhishek is a Vice President - Administration, in charge of the Registered Agent Services and Background Check departments as well as IT and Financial Strategy.

      During his free time, Abhishek enjoys traveling the world, spending time with his family, going to the movies, listening to music and taking in the scenic beauty of Oahu.

    • Puahi H. Benzon
      Vice President, Operations

      Puahi joined HonInfo in 1999 as a full-time data collection specialist while pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Finance full time at Hawaii Pacific University.  One year after joining the company, he was promoted to researcher, and in 2005, accepted the responsibilities as Vice President - Operations.  Puahi now oversees the day-to-day efficiency and productivity of the Research and Abstract Information teams, and is also in charge of reviewing all internal and external reports.

      Born and raised on Oahu, Puahi is a graduate of Kamehameha Schools and HPU. Meticulous, hardworking and responsible, Puahi manages to balance work with a rigorous exercise regimen and also finds time to express his creativity through jewelry design.

    • Edmund Lee
      Senior Research Specialist

      Edmund oversees the Background Screening area of HonInfo, primarily focusing on criminal background checks and reporting.  He also conducts fieldwork, interacting with county and state agencies for document filings, retrieval and research. He has been with HonInfo since 2008 and in addition to attending college, holds a professional degree in massage therapy.

      Edmund’s favorite movie in Casablanca and his favorite food is anything Chinese.  During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and working on his computer.

    • Nina Bourke
      Accounting Manager

      Nina initially joined HonInfo as a researcher in 1996 and has steadily risen to fulfill other areas of responsibility, now serving as the company’s accounting manager.  She says that the ‘ohana style culture at HonInfo is what makes working with this company most enjoyable.

      Nina attended the University of Hawaii and has an Associate in Applied Science degree in Business Management.  Her favorite movie is To Kill a Mockingbird because “it brings to mind memories of a different time and the innocence of youth.”  Away from work, she enjoys spending time at the beach with her family.
